GENERALPURPOSE OF JOB: SalesAssociates at Dunn-Edwards deliver customer service that offers a distinctiveshopping experience for both homeowners and professionals. Yourresponsibilities as a Sales Associate include demonstrating outstandingcustomer service and selling skills, continuously learning about the coatingsindustry, keeping sales floor stocked with merchandise, organizing the salesfloor and stock areas and building trusted partnerships with our paintingprofessionals.

Sales Associatesinteract with customers via phone and in-person to offer expert advice, whilealso processing and completing transactions. In addition, the SalesAssociate is responsible for upholding Dunn-Edwards store vision of fast andreliable service, while ensuring that the store is well stocked and maintained.Sales Associates continuously learn about the industry, products andservices through Dunn-Edwards Learning Network and various job certificationprograms that better assist in answering questions and making properrecommendations, as well as building a foundation for potential advancementopportunities as Dunn-Edwards continues to grow.
ESSENTIALDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Making a connectionwith customers, asking questions about their project, then giving options andadvice on meeting those needs
· Ensure delivery ofproduct as needed meets both Dunn-Edwards’ and customers’ quality and serviceexpectations
· Conduct self inprofessional manner - always acting as a positive extension of the Dunn-Edwardsbrand
· Efficiently takecustomer orders through various methods (email, phone, in-person) and processthrough point-of-sale
· Adhere to companysafety standards at all times
· Clean and maintain allareas of store and equipment as assigned
· Assist withmaintaining proper merchandise inventory levels
· Must have the abilityto communicate clearly both written and verbal
· The ability to stockand merchandise products according to planogram
· Meet expectations ofcore competencies related to the position:
Customer Focus,Attention to Detail, Problem Solving, Initiative and Teamwork
· Additional duties asassigned

SUPERVISORYRESPONSIBILITIES:This jobdoes not have supervisory responsibilities. There are no subordinatesupervisors reporting to this job.

EDUCATIONand/or EXPERIENCE: Four years ofHigh School with diploma or GED equivalent; or equivalent combination ofeducation and experience.

LANGUAGESKILLS: Ability to readand interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenanceinstructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports andcorrespondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers oremployees of organization. Read and write English for safety purposes.

MATHEMATICALSKILLS:Ability toadd, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using wholenumbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio,and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to Operate aPoint of Sales system and complete cash transactions with financial accuracy.

REASONINGABILITY: Ability tosolve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables insituations where only limited standardization exists. Ability tointerpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, orschedule form.
